he who saves
he who rescues
he who delivers
the Christ
the Messiah
the one from God
the son of man
the anointed one
savior
redeemer
bringer of salvation



 Jesus
there is so much to your name
there is history and hope
your name is
      a cry for help
      a saving cry
      a shout given when in need of rescue
 your name comforts in all its form and wonder
speak comfort too me know
as I call out for a savior
as I call out for rescue
as a need one who will deliver me
Jesus, I need you help.
I need you the son of man
     the human one,
     who understands my pain, our pain
     the one who can be in solidarity with me and through me
     the one who saves, forgives, judges and suspends rules
Jesus Christ, Son of God
    here my cry, my call, my hope
    draw near and rescue me.
