As you settle into pray, take a few deep breaths. As we breathe in, may we breathe in your peace. As we breathe out, may we breathe out your love.

Jesus, you entered the water

And the Spirit came down upon you

You heard God say you were loved

You belong

You bring God delight

 

Jesus we too have been in the waters

We have been told you love us,

  love us and delight in us

 

We wonder what to do with that knowledge

We know you took time to figure it out

While in the wilderness,

  you encountered

  both challenges and comfort.

 

We are facing so many challenges,

  about what is right.

We wonder which voices to listen to

 who is drawing us closer to you

 

When we are feeling lost and alone

  Help us

When we are sick and in need of healing

  Heal us

When we are worried about where our next meal is coming from

  Feed us

When the job disappears, and doesn’t pay enough, 

  Minister to us

 

Fed by the Holy

May we learn to serve

To set ourselves aside

To be a touch of the Holy for those

  Who are hurt, lost, last, and least.

 

Jesus as you were fed by the holy,

Feed us we pray. Amen
